Range Clean Up Day: It Takes a Village

Club Board Members Participate in Range Cleanup 2026

On Sunday, May 3rd, members and volunteers came together for Range Clean Up Day at the Redwood Falls Sportsmen’s Club. It was a productive, positive day filled with teamwork, hard work, and a shared commitment to making the range a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable place for everyone.

The results were easy to see. From the berms to the clubhouse, volunteers rolled up their sleeves and made a noticeable difference across the property.

A Club Built by Volunteers

The Redwood Falls Sportsmen’s Club is a 501(c) nonprofit organization, which means the club exists to serve its members, support outdoor recreation, and provide a space for shooting sports, education, and community connection. Like many nonprofit clubs, the work that happens here is not driven by paid staff or a large operating team. It is led by volunteers.

That is an important part of what makes the club special.

Everything that gets done at the range happens because members, supporters, and community-minded individuals choose to give their time, energy, equipment, skills, and resources. From maintaining the grounds to making repairs, organizing events, improving safety, and planning for the future, the club depends on people who care enough to show up.

Range Clean Up Day was a great reminder of what can happen when volunteers come together with a common goal.

A Huge Thank You to Our Volunteers

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who showed up for Range Clean Up Day. Your time and hard work made a major impact.

Volunteers cleaned up trees and brush along the berms, gathered and removed piles of debris, filled dumpsters, repaired steel targets, and tackled a number of important projects around the property. Each task, big and small, helped improve the range and move the club forward.

One of the most visible improvements was the clubhouse. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers, the clubhouse was cleaned out and given a fresh start. That space plays an important role in the life of the club, and seeing it cleaned up was an exciting step.

Days like this show the strength of a volunteer-led organization. When people are willing to pitch in, share the workload, and take pride in the place, good things happen.

Thank You, Sweetman Sanitation

We also want to give a special thank you to Sweetman Sanitation for their generous support of Range Clean Up Day.

Sweetman Sanitation donated several portable dumpster bags and dumpsters so the club could haul away debris and make meaningful progress on the cleanup. Their donation made a big difference and helped volunteers complete work that would have been much more difficult without those resources.

We are truly lucky to have a community partner like Sweetman Sanitation. They understand the value of supporting one another in our small communities, and their willingness to step up for the Redwood Falls Sportsmen’s Club is greatly appreciated.

Partners like Sweetman Sanitation help make projects like this possible. Their support is a great example of local businesses investing in the people, organizations, and spaces that make our community stronger.

If you see the Sweetman Sanitation team, be sure to thank them for supporting the club and helping make Range Clean Up Day a success.

Moving Forward Together

Range Clean Up Day was about more than cleaning brush, hauling debris, repairing targets, and organizing the clubhouse. It was about taking pride in the club and working together to care for a place that means a lot to many people.

The Redwood Falls Sportsmen’s Club has a strong future because of the people who are willing to be part of it. Whether someone volunteered for a few hours, donated equipment, offered encouragement, or helped organize the day, every contribution matters.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make Sunday, May 3rd a success. The range is better because of you, and we are excited to keep building on this momentum together.
