Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) A.K.A. Cowboy Action Shooting is akin to modern three gun shooting except you use firearms from the 1860s to 1900. Trade in your high capacity 9mm for two six shooters loaded with five rounds each. Instead of a auto loading rifle you have a lever action or even a pump action rifle. The same holds true for the shotgun where you trade in a auto loader for a pump with an exposed hammer (Winchester 1897) or a double barrel shotgun. As with IPSC or 3 Gun it is a balance of speed and accuracy with designs well over 100 years old.
