The annual banquet was a complete success. If you weren’t there to pick up your 2015 membership card, it is in the mail. On the back of the card is the combination for this year. We ask that you only share the number with family and other club members. It’s an insurance thing.
We estimated that there were over 215 members and family members. Three firearms were raffled. One of which was donated by River Valley Arms and Tersteeg’s. A fabulous water color painted and donated by John Buckley Sr was also raffled. Prizes from our other sponsors were at the silent auction. They include Schueller’s Bad Boy Sales and Service, Prairie Edge Casino, Opies’s Heavy Metal, Running’s, and Special Touch Massage and Day Spa. There were also a lot of other prizes given out. A hint for next year, sit with Cory or Randy and Wanda. I don’t know how, but a lot of different people pulling names out of the basket kept handing over tickets with their names on the stub. Congratulations to all of the winners. A special thanks to Tersteeg’s for catering and the volunteers who helped serve the meal.
Check the calendar on the website. There are a lot of activities planned for the summer. The good news there is lot of room out there for everyone. New steel targets are going to be in place on the 100, 200, and 300 yard lines. Still looking for adults and teens to join in the fun shooting trap this summer. Ladies, don’t forget about Ladies Night at the Range. The first Wednesday of May, June, July, and August. River Valley Arms and Ammo is sponsoring the event. Check out their website for more information. http://rivervalleyarms.com/events/
Do you have a .22 repeater? There is a fun and challenging match being conducted May 9th. Look at the CMP website for more information about the Rimfire Sporter match. http://thecmp.org/competitions/club-sanctioned-events/rimfire-sporter/
