Our History

A Legacy of Outdoor Excellence

The Redwood Falls Sportsmen’s Club was originally founded on November 30, 1968, with the first board members—Ted Balko, James Cairns, and W.C. Sletten—laying the foundation for a club built on conservation, outdoor sports, and community involvement.

Since then, many dedicated volunteers have carried on their vision, helping to grow and improve the club into what it is today—a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts and a true slice of paradise on the northwest side of Redwood Falls.

Over the years, the club has evolved to provide:

  • Safe and well-maintained shooting ranges for rifle, pistol, trap, and archery
  • Educational programs, including DNR Firearm Safety Training and 4-H Shooting Sports coaching
  • Community events and competitions that bring sportsmen together
  • Preserved hunting land and natural habitats for ethical and sustainable outdoor recreation

Through the dedication of passionate members and volunteers, the Redwood Falls Sportsmen’s Club continues to thrive, ensuring that outdoor traditions remain alive for generations to come.
